I don't see any other thermometers? How do you know the temps outside the egg case are stable? Just curious..

    Re: Pepsi-incubator

There are now 3 working thermometers at the incuabator, and were there while testing before I placed the eggs inside. By the way also compared the accuraci of the spyder robotics built in thermometer and found to be very good. Walmart ones lie a little. I got a laboratory grade glass thermometer for the comparision...

Is that a fan you have at the top of the heat mat? If so how do you power it because I have one lying around that’s from a pc and I got it running on batteries and they were dead in 24hours…. Wiring it up so it plugged into the mains would have it running at a very high speed?

Yeah I ended up putting the walmart ones at the same place in the bator as my herpstat and the walmart ones are .5-.7 degrees lower.

Yes that's the fan, it is a 110 v one that I got from radio shack. I set this fan without a switch so is always working, blows just enoughf air (no too much) to keep temps even. The great thing about this kind of fans is that they do no generate much heat.

Do you mean the power cord or the temp sensor?? There is a hole just behind the thermostat, the temp sensor goes from there to a drilled hole hidden behind of the ''PEPSI'' sign. The power cord goes trought a drilled hole in the most upper part of the refrigerator in a not at all handsome way.
