Very good questions!

Well I am by no means a breeder of GTPs or BPs, but thanks to this forum and a few others, I have learned a thing or two from the experienced and helpful people out there.

When thinking about breeding GTP's, you have to take into account a few more things than you do with balls in my opinion. There is a good chance that you could get a clutch size which is twice as big as a clutch from breeding bps. now with all those hatchlings, you need a lot more space for housing. Each little guy will need proper heat, humidity, perches, and their own space to thrive. Arboreal racks tend to be less space efficient than bp racks and also could cost you an arm and a leg. Not only housing but the feeding challanges that many neonates bring has been known to frustrate some to near death.

My thoughts: Well, I currently keep balls and one chondro, but I have no plans to breed (AT THIS MOMENT). Maybe a few years down the road when I gain the experience, graduate college and settle down a bit plans could change. The important thing to consider is that breeding is a huge commitment. Ask anyone on this forum. You do not want to rush into breeding, thinking that the care for only two animals is required, because once that clutch of 18 or so hatches, you'll be in for a huge reality check.

Just my couple pennies. If anyone has a different opinion or would like to correct any false statements of mine they are more than welcome to correct me (:
