Snake torturing mouse
Our snake, Paradox, is not interested in her dinner tonight. She is striking the mouse but not killing it. This seems very unfair to the mouse. Should we take it out and try again in a few days or give her an hour or so supervised with the mouse in with her?

Re: Snake torturing mouse
Usually when they strike but don't constrict, it's a sign of stress and fear. He's not interested in feeding tonight...

I thought so. She is generally pretty quick about it, but she should be shedding soon so maybe that is it. Her eyes are quite cloudy and silvery.

IMO! I would take it out and give it a week and try again. Trying again to soon could cause the stress to build.

Yep. Sounds like she is in the blue, can't see, and is not interested in the blurry annoying thing that is in her area.
Next week, maybe.
