Dominant ringer?

I have a friend that is thinking of buying a ringer. The seller claims that it's a "true dominant or co-dominant ringer".. He reffers to The Complete Ball Python, and when I'm reading about ringers in the book, Kevin McCurley writes that there is some lines thats dom or co-dom... I've never heard of a gentic ringer before and in VPI's book they say that the "appearens is not inheritable"

Any one that knows?

I definately could have missed something along the way, but I have always heard that, you can get a Ringer out of a clutch from a Ringer breeding, but it isn't guaranteed, and you can't place any odds on how many of the offspring will be Ringers, because they are so sporatic (Sp?). So from my understanding of Ringers, you wouldn't have a recessive or Codom animal (unless it was a Pied, which is recessive) by purchasing a Ringer.

My understanding of the ringers was that they weren't predictable by simple Mendelan theories.

some ringers are dominant. I wouldn't say most are. If the seller has not actually proven his to be genetic, I wouldn't count on it.
