Regurge
So, I just got a regurge.
I am pretty sure I know why it happened, and I'm stupid and take all the fault.
My BP is at the top shelf.
I have some scorpions below it.
Needing heat I used a ceramic heater that blows hot air.
Hot air rises, heating the bottom part of the BP's shelf causing the UTH to over heat making him go to the cool hide which meant not enough heat to digest.
My question, what should I do?
I ahve had cornsnakes reguge.
I wait 10 days after the regurge and feed a smaller meal.
Is that so wih BPs?
Visual....

Re: Regurge
actually that doesn't look like a regurge. That brown part is definitely poop. But that white part does kinda look like it... Did you see it happen?

Re: Regurge
No, I did not see it happen.
I smelled it.
Yeah it is half poop/half regurge.
He was fed Saturday so 5/10
Is it more dangerous(Sign of something more serious) if undigest food comes out the back end?

Re: Regurge
When in doubt wait 2 weeks before feeding again and I would make the prey smaller than normal

Re: Regurge
Aw, poor guy half a month without a taste of food.
May I handle?
And is this a week after today or after Saturday.
That doesn't really matter 2 days is nothing.

Re: Regurge
This is 2 weeks after the day of the regurgitation. It takes this long for the snake to build back up all of the digestive juices needed to digest a prey item. If you fed too soon, he'd just regurg again
Yes, you can certainly hold him, though I'd give him a few days to chill and feel better- digestion working in reverse is really hard on a snake....

Re: Regurge
That poop coming out of his throat must of been odd.
That is my other question.
Can they poop undigested food?

Re: Regurge
I cant say Ive ever seen undigested food in their poops but I did have my first snake regurge on me bc I handled 24hrs after feeding. After looking at your picture I'm pretty confused...I definitely see poop and I definitely see an undigested mouse/rat... Id play it safe and wait 10-14days before trying to feed again... In the mean time get the temperature issue taken care of and you should be fine.
