    Shortest Time to Emergence?

Alright. I need something to take my mind off the last week till hatch and it got me wondering what are some of the shortest incubation times seen?? I artificially incubate all clutches at 89 and the shortest duration from laying to hatching (with no assistance) has been 54 days. Anyone have shorter times?? I just finished reading some old journal papers on other pythonidae species that list emergence as soon as 48 days and as late as 72.

If you don't have a shortest time, what are your averages?? Maybe if I talk to the little dears and tell them it's okay to come out a day or two early. I just know McFats (already taking up all the space in his egg) is going to bust a seam soon.......

    Cheers,
    Kat

    Hey Kat!

I know this clutch of littles have hatched, but for informational purposes... the clutch that just hatched here incubated at 89... and hatched between the 55th-56th day... They peaked at 96 for 3-4 days before pipping!

Resist!! Resist!! I incubate at 89 and I solemnly swore not to cut until they were officially late (day 56). Don't get advice from Joe, either. You know what he will say........

    Re: Shortest Time to Emergence?

I am with you Kat, at day 54. Most of mine used to come out at Day 56 or 57, but this year, I am cooking them a little cooler, so I expecte our average to go up to about 58 days.
