I'm not really having a hard time taking care of them whatsoever. My snakes are getting all the care and concern that they need. Due to an error on my part, yes, my first two did develop scale rot. Scale rot happened to be one thing that I was not knowledgeable about at the time. In fact, the reason they developed it was because of my efforts to care for them; my substrate was staying too wet from over-misting in attempts to maintain correct humidity in their environments. But, both of them have seen the vet multiple times just for the rot and are getting the medications they need on a regular basis; now, the infection is pretty much cleared up. I would NEVER get two more snakes if I couldn't properly care for the ones I already had; I'm not one of those inexperienced herp owners that goes and buys a snake I know NOTHING about and can't afford. If anything, their infection has PREPARED me these new snakes, seeing as now I know what NOT to do. My snakes are extremely important to me, but perhaps to you it seems as though I'm an irresponsible owner; I assure you that I am not. Their health and well-being is my top priority.
