I prefer feeding mealworms myself and is the staple diet for my leo. It is always good to supplement the diet from time to time though. Gutloading is really what is most important. The biggest problem with mealworms is they have a fairly tough outer shell which is a little harder to digest. My leo really likes them and is very healthy and active which is what counts. If you think your going to use mealworms as your staple diet I would recommend breeding your own. It is extremely simple and takes some time but I think it will pay off in the long run. I also have some fire-bellied toads that will eat some of them as well.
