    More Marshmallows!!!!! Clutch 2

Yay! Echo went 33 days post shed and she finally laid today. She was laying when I first checked on her about 4:15 this afternoon and had 2 eggs laid at that time. So I put her back up and called Kara for moral support and waited until about 7:45 to check on her again and had four lovely marshmallows (which is what I had palpated and was expecting).

Echo was bred to my 100% het clown male Oliver so I'm hoping for all females in this clutch.

Here they are on one of their dates - she is of course the darker and larger one:

Her today (and I had turned the flexwatt down earlier today so that it wasn't too warm)

The four marshmallows (still no jokes about the stove shots! LOL)

    In the egg box:

And I'd like some feedback from those who are experienced with eggs - is this something to be concerned about or I should watch carefully through incubation? What causes it?

Being the perfectionist that I am - I wasn't happy to see it:

Thanks John, any feedback on that spot on the egg? Worrisome or not?

Shaun - just one more clutch to wait for here and right now I'm waiting for her pre-lay shed (she's in shed right now) and then her countdown to lay.

She'll lay a little over 1/2 way into the incubation of these two clutches. These snakes timed these clutches "perfectly". By my calculations, these two clutches will hatch when I'm due to be in NC for a week (so they're coming with me) and Sierra's probably during Daytona (so they're coming with me too! LOL).

Robin! Congrats!!!! Oliver got 'er done

Don't sweat it on that egg. Its really common and 9 times out of 10 it will hatch just fine. To my understanding that spot often happens on the egg that is the first one out.. has something to do with being first in line...

    Hoping for lots of girls

I wouldn't worry too much about it, windows like that are relatively common and rarely cause any problems.
    Congrats!!
