    their policy is 2 free cuts. 50 cents per cut after that.

    the argument could go either way. customer service should be important.

    On the other side, their is a reason their prices are usually good. they stock items they can sell a lot of, quickly... without a huge staff.

    This is just my personal opionion, so please don't take offense. If I were buying all of my supplies for a rack from home depot, I certainly would NOT expect them to make all the cuts for me. They are a retailer, not carpenders. a few isles away you can buy a circle saw for about 35 bucks.... It will be capable of making all of your cuts, exactly the way you want them, on your time for many years to come.
