    Tank And Temp Questions

I wanted to ask 2 questions about my Royal's enclosure and temps. My temps are currently 88F on the warm side, and should it be turned down at night are shall I just leave it at that temp. And the other question is I have her water bowl on the cool side and its creating water droplets on her basking bulb, is that ok and it would cause any electrical faults??

Sorry for all the questions lol

Condensation on the bulb sounds like a problem, I'd try and move it so it's not directly under the bulb or add some ventilation?

Night-time and day-time temps should be the same unless you are trying to breed your BPs.

The water isn't directly under the bulb, the bulb is on one side which is the warm end and the water is on the cool end.

88F on the warm side is a little cool. I would try to get the temps up to 90F on the warm side and 83-85 on the cool side.
Water + Electricity = Danger Danger Danger
    Move the water bowl

EDIT> I just read that the water bowl is on the other side of the tank. Try a water bowl that has much less surface area

Does less surface area mean that its less exposed??

    Re: Tank And Temp Questions

Less surface area means less evaporation which means less humidity which means probable less condensation on your bulb. So, smaller water bowl
