blue eyed lucy's
I was wondering how much are blue eyed lucy's worth. You could buy 2 mojos for almost nothing. So I am confused as to why there arent more out there. Is it because you cant really do anything with a all white snake. or are they hard to produce being mostly a freak occurance. thanks.

Itsjust that, mojos are cheap ( If you would call $500 cheap...) and do not do so well in some projects as a lesser or butter might ( keyword might) do. I think people would rather buy a Lesser bel or Lessxmo bel than a just mo bel that will have a grey tint.
Bels are worth around $4000

Ok I guess that makes sense. I was just thinking because I am currently trying to buy a mojo. I figured that once I produced some pastaves that I would try to breed that back to the mojo or even breed two pastaves together. Man tell me if im not thinking way in the future. lol.

what would 2 pastaves make as opposed to 2 mojos? Im assuming bel but would there be anything special about it?

Re: blue eyed lucy's
There is a chance that you would make a super pastel bel at best, but I do not think you could tell if it was a super or even a pastel unless the eyes are different. I think ralph davis has a clutch like this and all he could say is that one he thinks might be a pastel is VERY white.

Would using pastaves (or MoTels) help get rid of the purple head found on mojo bel's?

The other big reason you haven't seen more BEL's from Mojave to Mojave, is that Mojaves are cheap now, but 2 years ago, Mojaves were still about $2,500 and 3 years ago, they were still abou $5,000. Which means that to be producing BEL's, you would have had to have bought a female at minimum 2 years (to make them this year). There just aren't alot of people out there with breedable female Mojaves.
It seems to me that alot of people forget about how long it takes to raise a female (which is paramount in making supers). It's easy to crank out the Heterozygous from of a co-dominant triat animal, but getting the Homozygous form takes a female, and typically 3 years of work.
I hope that helps explain why BEL's aren't cheap yet.

Excellent point. This would also go for a lot of other designer morphs too, wouldn't it? Like Bumblebees. A few years ago they were worth more then a new car. Now they are more like a couple of car payments. I'm hoping the price drops some more this year as well.

So is there not alot of people out there with breedable females like cinnys, mojos, spiders, and lessers. Because they adult females people have now are ones they paid 2000 for?

You can also make a Lucy with a mojave and a lesser. I heard it cleans up the gray head some. If you don't like that.
