Re: Mouse room
And you have no problem with competition and eating each other?
How many in each tub of each sex?
I would love to know what your procedure is...

Unless they ate the whole body, ive never dealt with canablism. Not sure about competition, if they are then no ones dieing

I counted those pinkys in my final count, so I really have around 70 weanlings and adults. With the breeders, i have one great stud that gets the job done quick so I switch him out( carefully) between tubs after alot of them get pregnant, but right now hes staying in the pregnant tub because im trying a new male in the top one to see if he is any good.

Procedure procedure procedure.... To tell you the truth, not a good one Im not all the careful and for some reason it has worked out. I clean out the tubs once every two weeks( sooner sometimes) and feed every day, water if I need to. Once the pinks turn to weaners I stick them in the feeder tub, and have never had a problem with the old weans fighting with the noobs. So far in the past month ive only have five die offs, three died of old age( I put one down because of how bad it looked, all my breeders were adults when i got them so who knows how old they are, more than likely retired breeders already) and the rest were because of me. one jumped out of my hand as I was sticking her in the breeder tub because she was of size and I liked her( was VERY upset about her dieing) and she fell about 13 feet and died an hour later, and the other one escaped I guess and i found it dead behind the feeder tub.
If I left anything out that you would like feel free to ask, Ive got a bad headacke so escuse the spelling!

didnt answer that one right, the breeder tubs old 1.6-9
All sexes in the feeder tote, and so far no one has gotten pregnant, Once feeding day comes around I try to give lesser 2 or three males depending on their size.

i have 1.7 in a few 10 gallon tanks and they havent ate eachother. (albinos)
i also have a 20l that has like 6.18 plus about 15 weeners still no problem eating (fancy mice)
i think its more of diet and water.
