Hi Robin!~ Yes Yes Yes!!! This is what I believe also!! I wonder where this breeding time a year comes from? It's sort of like the male ranchers out here who calve in January. A bunch of us girls got together and were talking about how crummy January birthing is for all us animals. A couple of my girlfriends who have stock decided to calve in March and April and it's working out really well. Little calves are having the spring grasses to eat and the warm sun to play under, mommas seem to like the warmth better and all believe they'll be up to size by auction and slaughter time.
So, I guess I'm saying that since we are creating and manipulating the snakes' environment to begin with, it seems as though any time of year would be fineDo you have any further thoughts about this?
