    Re: Rodentpro

right now her temps are 81.1 and 92.6 and her humidity is at 57%. She has two hides, one of each side. She's comfortable going back and forth. She has never been kept in the same cage as another snake and I have always fed her in her enclosure.

She eats f/t and live with no problems, as long as they are no larger than a weanling. She will eat 2 at a time with no hesitation. I was going to feed 3 this time and I was told to feed something larger, so I tried. It didn't work. She wasn't really afraid of it this time, just not interested. I blieve she is going to shed though because her skin is getting faded and one of her eyes is slightly starting to look clouded. I'll try again next week.

She ate fine last week so it should be ok until next feeding. If she doesn't eat next time, I'll start getting really worried.

bump...no one have any information about the use of Lab Surplus by Rodent Pro? For example, big cheese rodents webpage seems to incenuate that some companies do this, and I heard it mentioned on some other forums that RP does this. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts. I want to make sure I'm feeding the best (which is why I'll probably switch to big cheese anyway).

I wanted to finish off this thread. I asked RP directly if they use lab surplus, they said NO. I asked the persons that encenuated RP uses lab surplus to back up their statement, to which they have NOT. I think it's pretty safe to assume that RP does NOT use lab surplus.

I am pleasantly surprised to say my next (HUGE) order will be with Big Cheese rodents as they absolutely dominated RP in the price quote they gave me. Just FYI guys and gals,

I'm really hoping they are because I only live about 2 1/2 hours aways from them.

But I've never seen The Mouse Factory, so I'm going to check them out too. Thanks for the advice.
B/c shipping would pretty much kill me, no matter WHO I ordered from, I did a search and put together a spreadsheet of costs, shipping, sizes (for comparison..one's large is sometimes someone else's XL), and other factors.

It's been a year or so old, so the prices I'm sure are probably higher, and it might be hard to see, but when I did all the comparing, I started buying from The Mouse Factory. The mice and rats are vacuum packed, clean, in good condition. I had some problems w/the first order, and Edna was really good w/the customer service and sent replacements. There's been only one time when I went to order, & they were out of stock of the XXLG.

When I've called to order and had to leave a message, they've gotten back to me, usually the next business day or 2nd day. Talking with Edna, and she's helpful in getting my order so I can take advantage of their "buying 100" discount.

I order enough to last 5-6 months, so aren't ordering maybe twice a year, but they're always friendly when I call. I'd recommend them to anyone.
