Question about Eggs
We bought some eggs the other night and accidentally left them out for about 6 hours at room temperature before putting them in the fridge. Would these eggs still be good or would we be safer by throwing them about and getting more eggs?

Eggs come from warm chickens....
I'd eat them. But again... I eat a lot of questionable things lol

Re: Question about Eggs
they are fine eggs really dont have to be kept cold to be safe they just last longer. lots of people on farms never have them in the fridge they sit on the counter

Re: Question about Eggs
Fresh eggs can last for days at room temperature.
Eggs you buy at a store aren't exactly "fresh". Also, I have no idea what effect there would be from having been cooled, then warmed up by being left out, then cooled again.
My best guess would be that they'll be fine, but their lifespan has probably been shortened. If it were me, I'd probably use them normally, but to be safe you could only use them in things where they get cooked thoroughly (no over-easy eggs for breakfast).

Re: Question about Eggs
They should be fine.
You can even eat eggs raw.. so I am sure that having eggs out for a few hours is no big deal.
