I actually typed that before you posted your answer. It was for Connie's post, not at all to you.
Absolutely I agree with you and your analysis of each persons health. That is why there are still so many mysteries of medicine!!!

Re: Ring worm sucks!!!!
I have used bleach and chlorhexidine. Both work VERY well and get rid of it quickly. The OTC antifungals generally don't do a darn thing and it will linger for.. freaking.. ever.

Re: Ring worm sucks!!!!
I got ringworm once when I was a kid. The doctor had us put iodine on it and although I don't remember how long it took to go away, I'm pretty sure it didn't spread to any new places.

Re: Ring worm sucks!!!!
When my dog got it, I tried the creams but they didnt work so I took her to the vet. The gave her ORAL clotrimazole along with the OTC cream. Get rid of it from the outside in. There are a few other oral antifungals available also. If you do go this route, I'd definitely suggest getting a prescription from the vet to take to your pharmacy. I paid $70 for my dog's pills through the vet's office only to get to work (at a pharmacy) and find out that I could've gotten it for at least half that!
But the pills really did help it to clear up a lot faster! Hope this helps!
EDIT: The pills taste like crap so I had to rotate between hiding them in peanut butter, bread, or vienna sausages. She's catch on to one trick so I'd have to switch it up a lil bit. She's too smart for her own good!

Re: Ring worm sucks!!!!
I've had it a bunch, being a jiu-jitsu practitioner and rolling with sweaty dudes (and girls). Most people I know have had good success with the generic creams applied regularly (I use it at 2x the recommended frequency). You have to keep applying it long after the visual signs are gone. Beyond that there are prescription drugs I believe.
