    My thermostat just came, and I didn't want to start another thread for it so I'll just post here. It is not what I had expected. I've never used a thermostat for reptiles before and I figured it would have something for me to actually set the temp I wanted, but it is more or less just a dimmer : / I guess it would be more accurate than a lamp dimmer though?

    It has a probe sensor, but whats the point if I'm using an Acurite?

    It has velcro on the back to mount it to the tank, but I'm using poster background. Can I just stick it to the poster or should I cut out a piece of the poster to mount it directly to the glass? I'd rather stick it to the poster, at least that way I wont have velcro permanently stuck to the outside of the tank. You never know when you might have to move the tank, right?
