    Dark Morph?

I need some help clearing something up. What is meant when the term Dark Morph is used? Is this actually a gene strand or is it just a random occuring color alteration? If anyone could explain how to identify it would help greatly and pictures are always nice!

    Thanks in advance!

Would you consider Axanthics to be dark morphs?

Good Question. I don't think I would consider an Axanthic a dark morph. Not sure why, but they dont really seem to fit right.

    Re: Dark Morph?

The reason I'm asking is this is our new boy and he is supposedly a proven Dark Morph Genetic Banded Ball Python. I'm just wondering what makes him a "Proven Dark Morph"? Why not just call him a genetic banded reduced patern ball python? I don't see cinnamons called Dark Morph Cinnamons!

He should make pretty babies and that is our major concern. Just be nice to know exactly what to call the babies depending on the traits passed. Also the banding is supposedly a co-dom so we should have fun trying to make a super form and seeing what it looks like!
