    Accra, my normal female

    Hi,

As I said in my introduction, I have a normal female of late 2007.
She was being kept by a friend of mine for a couple of months, but due to some recent changes in his life he had to dowsize his enclosure area and couldn´t keep her alone in an enclosure.
So, being kept with a bigger female, she stoped eating and failed 4 meals. He cared for her enough to give her to me, knowing I would do my best (and had the means) to keep in better conditions.
When she arrived at my home (March 29) she had only 122g...

After a couple of days letting her settle in the new environment, I tried to feed her a medium mouse (15g). After hesitating for a few minutes, I insisted and she took it
Five days later, I gave her another one and she took it with no hesitation.

I´ve been keeping this 5 day schedule to nurse her back and after 4 meals with me, I´m a bit proud to say that on April the 20 she was with 179g ! So, I think she is on the good track.

But..enough talking and here she is.

    Meet Accra

Congrats on the feedings! I bet she feels better with a steady feeding schedule.

How about some pics of your setup?

    Re: Accra, my normal female

    Thanks.

    Sneakpro,

I´m still keeping her on a quarantine enclosure.
Just the basics: a fauna box with 40*27*15 cms (16*11*6 inches) with two similar card rolls as hides - one in each corner - and a water bowl in the middle.
The box is heated by a cable with 33ºC (91,4F) on the warm side and around 27ºC (80.6F) in the cool side. The humidity is around 50-55%. Papel towels as substract.

Today I´ll feed her so won´t disturb her with pictures, but I´ll take some later this week
