    First Shed :)

Kami shed yesterday I've only had him a couple of weeks, so i'm super excited, he was very hungry afterwards (as he didnt take his meal last week, which I had a feeling was because of preparing to shed, and his eyes were milky). It was *almost* a clean shed, two pieces. A much happier boy today

    Re: First Shed :)

sorry to hijack, but I felt like such a jerk starting a new thread about shedding. Can someone tell me how long I should expect to wait for my 9 month BP to shed?
I wasn't slick enough to ask when she last shed before I brought her home, but I've had her now for about 3 weeks.

As for you, soy, I believe the rule is every 7 weeks give or take a week? My BP just shed this week and i've had him a little over a month now. Hope that helps!

    Re: First Shed :)

I had mine for 6 weeks before it shed... I don't know if that helps at all, but he ate 5 times before he shed.

My 6 month old bp goes into a cycle every 4 weeks and sheds about every 6 weeks. Shed times can vary depending on age of the snake (size)

I keep track of when mine sheds. Here ya go:
    Code:
    Shedding chart:

Blue Eyes	Days	Shed Finish	Days2	Complete?
    10/15/2007	n/a	10/15/2007	n/a	Unknown
    12/11/2007	57	12/15/2007	61	Retained head
    1/30/2008	50	2/4/2008	51	Full shed
    3/8/2008	38	3/12/2008	37	Full shed
    4/21/2008	44	4/21/2008	40	Set for a shed
The first row is when I actually had just gotten him (and he had probably shed days before that).
Days and Days 2 columns are the number of days that had passed prior to the previous shed (blue eyes and actual shed)
The last row is today's data...he is due any day now (belly got pinkish just two days ago)
