    Stuck shed

Can someone tell me a little bit about stuck shed. My leo was recently sick and has been on antibiotics for almost 30 days now and is starting to shed for the first time since being sick but its not her normal easy shed she is having some trouble getting off in whole pieces. she has a humid house and her tank is at a good temp of 92. i mist her and mist her humid house several times a day. i even tried giving her a few warm baths to kind of help shed the extra dead skin. any suggestions

Use a tupperware container or deli cup and fill it with wet papertowels. Put the leo into it and place it in the warm side of her enclosure so that it is warm and humid inside the cup. Leave her in the container for several hours and then try to help her out of any leftover skin by dabbing at it with a wet q-tip. It should come off fairly easily but if not, wait until the next night (so that she can eat and drink and whatnot) and re-do the container leaving her in it overnight and then try the q-tip method again.

If at any time her toes start to look raw or red stop trying to remove the skin (it is too stuck and trying to remove it will remove or damage the good skin underneath) and soak them in betadine, dry them and apply a thin coat of triple antibiotic ointment (with no painkillers).

hey thanks for all your help.. i got through that nasty stuck shed and she has since had two great easy sheds.. im assuming she had such a problem with that one because of the antibiotics she was on but the betadine is a lifesaver.. it worked wonders thanks
