    sexing confusion

I got my pastel back in October from a small local show, and he was sold to me as a male. I never questioned the breeder, so I never bothered to sex him myself and double check, until today. I had "him" out, so I decided to pop him just to see, and was a little surprised at what I saw. Thinking that my popping skills might just suck I decided to probe him, and got 4 scales on one side and 5 on the other, so is it safe to say that my little "male" is actually a female? Not that it really matters, as I haven't purchased any of the other balls in my breeding plans yet, so I guess I'll just save some money buying a male lesser instead of a female.

    Re: sexing confusion

With out popping or probing it myself I would be hard press to give an answer. Some males can probe shallow as they have smaller pene's than other I have seen females probe like males so you really have to have then snake in hand to know for sure.. Sorry I couldn't help.
