scale rot question.

doctor gave me some silver sulfadiaazine cream, chlorhexaderm disinfectant wash, and some flagyl and baytril.

I can see the SSD, the disinfectant (although diluted betadine works too), and the baytril but why the flagyl?
Are internal parasites suspected?
