I got the "under cage heat 1.5" on my coupe which is the same thing as the 421, but mine has 2 doors.

What you do is add the cage (the 421) to the cart, then add the heating and other options you want, paypal keeps track of things

I think their heating page does a pretty good job of explaining when you would use each option. I get X2 because my house is often on the chilly side - especially at night.

    Re: Boaphlie 421Condo

Thanks for the help. I read through the heating page and couldn't really understand which to get. The reason is that the heat pads they describe seem to be all the more square type and not a more narrow one that would go from one side to the other. That seemed to be important in that the 421 Condo is divideable into four seperate 12" (approx) cages. I believe is is 48x24x12".
If the heat element is large but not long one or two of the sections would seem to be lacking in the proper amount of heat.

I hope that makes sense. I just didn't see where there was a real description on the dimensions of each heat option available except the 2X which I believe was something like 21.5" x???

I looked at some other mfgs of cages, like Reptil Basics for example and the descriptions were very clear to me. I think I might go that route, if for nothing other than the waiting period I have read so much about on here. Please keep in mind I am well aware of the higher quality of the Boaphile cages according to many opinions. The reason I stated that is that that seems to be a topic that starts much debate and that is not what I want this thread to turn into. I was just trying to get some clarification on the matter. I called the other day but never got a call back from Boaphile so I thought I would ask here since there seems to be many people on here who know quite a bit about this subject.

    Thanks,

    Neil

    Re: Boaphlie 421Condo

It's rectangular, but it basically ends up heating one end of the cage and not really very much on the other side. With my experience I found that I had to add extra heat (flexwatt) in order to get my boaphile to heat properly. In fact, I'm not entirely certain that the 1.5' of heating I have is heating to it's full potential.
