When bad things go wrong, some still care- Justin Kobylka
Well, how can I start this!
Late last year I met a great breeder and a true friend name Justin Kobylka of J.Kobylka Reptiles.
We started talking and became friends fast, Justin is a great person with a lot of heart and loves what he does and has great looking pythons. So after a few weeks to a mouth we did a trade and cash for a male clown and 0.2 Het females. They all were beautiful and the het's even looked so good. But my male Clown was the best. Justin was alway there and helped with whatever I wanted or just talk snakes and family, he had my back from the day we talked, we clicked.
Months passed and my clown group were getting size to them looking beautiful, my clown male was now 450+ and the female hets were over 600+ grams, everything was going great.
Then something went wrong.
My male clown got very sick and was showing signs of respiratory infection. I called Justin and he backed me up and helped me every step of the way. I took the snake real fast to the vet and they looked him over and gave him a shot and sent me home with some meds and I had to wait till the vet got back to me to let me know what he had, but it was sure signs of the UR. The vet seen the clown ball and he loved it and said he had some nice weight to him and some poop inside of him, he said he was beautiful and that snakes that came in with UR looked some times real bad but my boy was good, so I figured he would pull out of this. So I did all I was told to do, clean the bin everyday and changed the water twice a day, he was staying strong and fighting back but then on top of the UR he also got a mouth infection. The mouse he ate last before the UR must of bit him inside the mouth that started a UR and the MI. So back to the vet I went to get some cream for the mouth infection, So everyday I did the same and clean his cage and would clean his mouth up twice a day and shots every 3 day, I was stressing out. He lasted for a month before the ball gods took him from me at 550 grams and still from the day I took him and the vet said he had some poop inside of him, he never pooped.
I was crushed and Justin was with me still all the way till the end. I really was in love with this snake, I always wanted a Clown but never had the cash until I started breeding last year and had some good snakes now on my side to trade.
I had plans for him but now they are on hold.
After the snake passed away last week Justin told me on the phone, Charlie don't worry, things happen but we will get over and learn from it all. He then said I wish I had a clown but I have a 07 Het male with your name on it, if you want it.
I was like what Justin??
He said he feels what I'm going through and he wants me to make clowns someday and he wants to see my plans come true, so Justin packed up the het male free of charge shipping and all and sent it to me.
Through everything Justin was there helping me out and I knew I had a friend for life.
I've been collecting and breeding all kinds of reptiles for 19 years now, but I did it for fun.
I'm happy to see that there are still great people in this hobby like Justin.
When I was up set that I lost my clown, Justin made things clear to me and I just wanted to say thanks Justin my brother for being down to earth you are a true friend.
R.I.P. Clown boy-

Now to get clowns the het way.
All because of a mouse!!

Sorry about your loss of the Clown. What Justin did is one of the most stand up thing i've ever heard of a breeder doing. Nice.
