Here is the big guy, he is about 4 inches long. I absolutely love these things. they are actually holdable (is that a word?)

Mantids are awesome! I love how it always looks like they're looking right at you, even though it's an optical illusion. Very cool alien critters, and great pics of yours!

Just found this piccie from aaages ago of my little girl holding our Ghost Mantid (Phyllocrania paradoxa)...She love's anything her Daddy gets.......I'm sooooo proud!!!!!

Excellent pics Pat. Mantids are cool. We catch a few a year around the house, and I am always fascinated by them.
