I could have the same problem as I am currently in Michigan. Luckily the heat is included in my rent so I keep the apartment a comfortable 75-77 degrees.

Brings up another question: How hot should you set the T-stat? Normally people would keep it at about 90 and let some of the heat spread to the cooler side. Would you have to turn it down to about 87? or is the front of the tub still a good temp in the low 80s
