Cal King on/off eating.. driving me nuts
I have a 50/50 cal king, who went through the winter w/ out heating and only hibernated for about 2 weeks during that period.
He ate well and heftily before winter and in early march, ate two mice. He then ate one a week later..
It has now been three weeks and he turned down food last week, and seemed to want to eat this week, but the mouse jumped, and after an hour he was in "escape" mode and not interested in eating..
I am going to try to see if he will eat some young fuzzy mice, since he has eaten pinks/fuzzy's before.
He will only eat live, so it does make it annoying and problematic.
Could this be a spring thing "find the females" sort of thing?
Thanks,
Carol

I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

I hate to say it, but could he be sick or something? He might also just be still slowing eating down and you could gradually feed him within shorter and shorter spans.
I'm interested to know what's going on with him if you find out, or if he starts eating again, info could help me with future questions.
