Quick feeding question

Hey guys

I have had my ball for about 7 monthes...not too sure how old he was wen I got him, but hes about 2 feet long now. I am feeding adult mice rightt now. My question is can i overfeed my ball?? I know that some balls are picky eaters and can fast for long periods of time, but can it happen the other way around? Will he eat even though he is not hungry?

I ask this because i fed him on friday and he ate it. He has always been a good eater and has never missed a feeding. When he ate it, it left the slightest bump in his stomach. I was thinking if I should upgrade in size, so just to test the waters I took out another adult mouse/ defrosted it and put him in with it, and he took it. I was wondering if I should upgrade to a bigger mouse/rat? or is it that he'll eat anything I put him front of him?

The general rule of thumb is to offer prey no larger than the width of your ball python at its thickest point. Ball pythons can overeat and become obese, therefore, it needs to be monitored that they are being fed the appropriate amount of food on an appropriate schedule.
