First time with a HovaBator
I had to kinda last minute get a hovabator because my other incubator is full.
Here is my set-up:
I have two 10" deli cups that are 3 inches tall with lids, they are filled about 1/3 of the way with vermiculite.
My temps are:
90 degree / 80% humidity (inside the deli cups)
That should work fine right? Any input on Hovabators and what is a good humidity for them is much appreciated.

Re: First time with a HovaBator
I would def. get a backup thermostat. I ued a Hova, and my power went out.. then when the power went back on, the incubator got over 100 degrees and basically cooked the eggs

Re: First time with a HovaBator
I haven't personally used a HovaBator, and I'm not sure I'd ever trust a clutch of eggs to one. I've heard far more horror stories than success stories with them.

Re: First time with a HovaBator
Well my order of flexwatt just arrived yesterday, and the hovabator was just because I didn't have anymore room. But I plan on picking up a broken fridge here soon and doing some manipulating.
