Got my new AP rack in

Came in this morning right before I had to head out to work, two large flat boxes. Probably going to be the last sterilite based rack system I will get to buy since them 1754s are getting hard to find, (last ones I ordered from Target, I got slapped with some shipping fees and taxes big time). I will need a couple CB70 style racks here soon.

Anyway, I have yet to crack the boxes open for the new rack, I hope to do that soon.

I will say this right now though, they said 3-4 weeks and low and behold, almost a month after I order it, it gets delivered . Its probably been in transit since last week.

I will post more on the rack here in this thread a bit later

Cool, I ordered one of their economy racks about 2.5 weeks ago, hopefully it will be here soon as well! And I keep seeing people complaining that they can't find the 1754/56 at Target, but the target where I live has them stocked like there's no tomorrow. I guess I'm just lucky...

Well, I to a whole lot of nothing done today, that rack is out of the box and sitting on the floor in the snake room... as far as I got

They recomend a power screwdriver to put the thing together and I don't have one... just a single speed drill or my hand

Re: Got my new AP rack in

Man, Im tired... at 230 in the morning I go in to check the snake room before I go to bed and I look at the AP rack that needs put together still, and decide, why not? its almost 3am, I guess I could put a shelf on... a bit around 4am, I finish putting the casters on the thing and getting the draws slid in. I kept saying, one more shelf. Then I pulled out the new cordless drill and really get down to work... All that is left to do is contact AP and let them know the kick plate is about 1/2" too short. No biggy though. Its on casters.

I still need to install the heat cable, drill the tubs, wipe everything down and start moving in some animals!

I know, people are going to want pics, but is going on 430 in the morning, Im tired, the snake room is trashed with shrink wrap and other stuff I needed to move out of the way so I could put the rack together. But give me a little while, I will update with pics, probably after I get things moved back around

Nice looking rack. Glad I got the casters

Re: Got my new AP rack in

Here is a (bad) photo of the new rack, about 75-80% complete. Still need to drill some holes into the tubs, and get the heat wired in
On top of that, I need to move things around in the snake room to get things to my liking
