    first feeding since refusal

well its been 6 days since he refused his live rat last week.he seemed jumpy when i removed him from his tank.i put him in his tub then stunned and picked up the rat with tongs and dangled it in front of him.well after 5 minutes of him ready to strike i dropped the rat and it was an instant take down.i never seen him start swallowing so fast.but i noticed that his color is dull and his eyes also.i never have fed during shed before is this going to be a problem even though it very early stages of shedding?

    Re: first feeding since refusal

congrats on his fast breaking (although I don't think one missed feed really counts!), I know the relief.

The only problem with feeding during shedding is that many snakes refuse, some don't. Mine ate in shed whilst a juvi, now he always refuses so i stopped offering.
