    This caught me off guard

When your blood soaks or goes for a swim do you hear the occasional wheezing sound when they breath?

Mine has done that wheezing sound on 2 occasions and each was after he played around in his water dish. I figure he just breathed in some water or had some in his nostrils but hearing that puts me on alert so I'm just curious if any of you have noticed the same thing.

His temps are 88 hot side and 80 cool side. His humidity stays between 55-60%. Still eats like a champ.

Mine does it. He gets his head inder the water. And then will do it for a day or so. Usually less.

    Silly snakes. Haha

You might bump the humidity up to above 60 while your on alert though.

I keep mine at 65. They're supposed to have higher humidity than balls.

So a 65-70% would be more ideal? Did you use a bigger water bowl to bump it up by chance?

how are his sheds at 60% ? If fine then leave as it is between 55 and 65 should be ok. If your having problems with him shedding then I would increase it to 65% and add more misting pre shed.

Otherwise what you describe is perfectly normal. Bloods make a lot of hissing breathing noises in general.
There is a moose loose aboot this hoose !

He sheds just fine. I have a humidifier in the room so bumping up the humidity is no problem during the cycle.
