    Question My ball whistles!

Hi, for those who haven't seen my into post yet, I am new.

Anywho, I was recommended here because I have been noticing something very odd about my Ball, Millie. She is about 6 to 7 months old now, and I have had her since January. On a few occasions I noticed that she makes a faint, yet clearly audible whistle or squeaking noise if she upset or under stress from something. My first thought was possible RI. I took her to the vet, he said he didn't detect any RI in her, but gave her some shots anyways. I have held her to my ear several times and her normal breathing is silent. Yet, I still hear her whistle like today when I think I accidentally frightened her while trying to feed her. The mouse (pre-killed) bopped her on the head and she slithered away from it and I could hear the whistle. She did end up eating it though. I have talked with some other Ball owners and they have never experienced this before. I have also looked online and found nothing but RI talk. Any ideas? Do some balls actually make noises (other than hissing) or is mine a freak of nature?

I dunno, she has hissed at me (and the cats) before and her hiss is more of a short, loud PSSSST! Is it really a type of hiss?

Has she shed recently? She might have a piece stuck over her nose then.Or she has a couple levels of hissing at you

If you do not find anything and you are sure its not URI then she is just giving you a low hiss

Maybe she doesn't know the words????

Check to see if there is an obstruction in her nostrils. I've actually heard that before, in my case it was just heavy breathing through a nostril that had a small piece of stuck shed in it. If there's no bubbling coming from it I wouldn't worry too much.
