newby needs advice

The only problem is I don't think I have enough cash to buy a thermostat for the uth. So I guess I'm going to have to make sure it wont over heat the tank without a thermostat for now.

I got a "rheostat" (a Lutron lamp dimmer like the one in the baby BP setup sticky) at home depot for $10.
