    AlbinoXhet albino

I was wondering if you breed an albino to a het albino. If you kept some het albinos back and bred them to an albino would the % of visual albino babies increase in the clutch. If there where hets in that clutch and you bred them to a visual albino would you get nearly all albinos in the clutch.Hope the question makes sense. All the best Ray.

albino x normal = all het albinos
albino x het albino = 1/2 albinos, 1/2 het albinos
albino x albino = all albinos

Thanks so the percentage of albino in a het albino will never increase.

That percentage is the chance each eggs has at having both copies of the albino gene. So you could get all Albinos or none at all even with an Albino to Het breeding.

No, the only way to increase the % are to increase the % of parental alleles carrying the trait. So if you got an albino from the albino x het breeding, and you bred the resulting albino to the original albino, you would get 100% albinos.

    Re: AlbinoXhet albino

like they said its a % chance... there have been many breedings of an albino to het that have only resulted in all hets. and there have been breedings of albino to het that have resulted in all albinos ( Jon Courtney of cloodbloodedaddiction.com had a clutch like this last year)

if you cant afford to take care of it, dont get it
