Tail Wagging

I was hoping that some of the more experienced breeders to extrapolate more on this bas some of us may not be as experienced with this behavior. Thanks.

So what do you want to know...it is like any female when they get excited..lol

About half mine did it this year when I first started to introduce a male to them...they "run" around their tub wagging their tail, knocking over their water just going nuts basically. Usually they were locked up within a few hours. I think like most animals it is an outward display that they are ready to breed.

Well if you get down to it its the female emitting hormones that let the male know she is more than receptive. I'm not sure if this is the same as musking in boas and larger pythons and colubrids. But its like perfume for snakes.
