I think that's a bit too much of a generalization. Any snake can be nippy or strike for a variety of reasons - some of which we humans will never figure out. Some are like that a lot, some rarely, some grow out of doing it all the time, others don't. I doubt gender has much to do with it other than as mentioned above, females on eggs.
Haha, I was actually just saying that because of my observations. From what I've seen, people that have snippy snakes, it usually is a "She". But that's just from what I've read here.
