We got a Tokay today
We got a Tokay gecko today. She is 2.5 years old and HUGE! I had to transfer her from her old enclosure (a 29 tall aquarium) to a transport cage. Of course she bit me well and good. She is about 10-11 inches approx. She has a bad half shed stuck on her. Most likely from not enough humidity. I got her cage when I got her. It has some kind of bark a flower pot for a hide. A tree branch and a screen top. First thing I did was put a large water dish and I put a towel over the screen lid to keep moisture in. I will have to put some under tank heat for her. I had to feed some of my other critters so I put some meal worms in for her as well.
We are looking for a name for her. Any Ideas? Pictures comming soon.

I think, if my memory serves me correct, that Tokays are aboribrial, so I am not sure how good a UTH would work.

The only thing that comes to mind for a Tokay geckos name is Spawn of Satan.

We put a UTH on ours just to add humidity. Using mulch substrate and wetting it down every few days and it keeps it "jungle fresh" in there.
