    Strange Behaviour

Hi all. I have been putting my Het orange ghosts together for a while now and have witnessed them locked on a few occasions. The male has been out having a rest and some food for a few days, so I put them back together today. My female who is normally very calm and docile has been a bit jumpy for the last few weeks and has struck at me a few times. When I put the male back in today with her she struck at him straight away, and rocketed around her tub like a missile. She really seems as if she does not want him to be in there with her. I have been breeding balls for a few years and have never seen a female act like this. Should I take him back out or leave him in there with her?? He does not seem at all bothered by the whole thing and is just cruising about as usual.

    Cheers

    Adam

    Re: Strange Behaviour

From my limited experience female ball pythons are just as tempermental an human females! They go through times when everything upsets them, they strike an anything, and they seem to either always be on the move. Then they have peaceful times when they just kinda ball up in a corner or in a hide and relax.
