I use to raise baby turtles of all species my albino RES & spotteds would hatch & then I would get them eating on brine shrimp(krill) then I would offer ciclid gold fish food small , then move up in size, ciclid gold oscar food would raise up turtles with NO shell deformations & great color just like wild animals,turtle pellets always gave them a lumpy shell even painted turles would have a smooth shell just like wild caughts, try it its in all the pet stores.
