my baby ball python eats like a champion

Our little girl, Penelope is the most bad ass snake ive ever seen when she's eating, today we got her a mouse, kept it in the bag and put it in the other side of the cage from where she was. Within minutes she had found the bag and was trying to get it, this is when i removed her and put her in the box where she always gets fed, then as i was turning the bag over to pour the mouse in, she struck at the bag, i looked at the opening and sure enough, the mouse was right there, she did not miss again. She nailed the mouse inside the bag while she was 8 inches below in the box. WOW!!! glad i got to see that, makes me feel like im a good herp parent!

Having good feeders is a great feeling!

I only have 1 BP, a little '07 guy, but he's eaten very well for me so far. I feed one adult mouse every six days, and I swear it took him all but two weeks to learn the schedule. He's usually quite relaxed, but as soon I get out of bed on day 6 he starts roaming like mad, poking around in the area of the tub i usually put the mouse, and when I finally start to defrost it next to his tub he goes bonkers.

I really have to watch my hands when I go to place it in the tub, lol. No zombie mouse dance needed here.

Think I'll bump him up to two mice per feeding soon... maybe he'll settle down.
