Het Pied markers?

Does anyone have pictures of the Het Pied markers I can look at to help me understand what they look like and where they are located??? Also:
1.) Are they always located in the same place?
2.) Are the markers always present (could they be Het Pied without the markers)?
3.) Could the markers be present on anything other then a 100% Het Pied?
Anything else you would like to add that might help me out would be greatly appreciated also!!! Thank you!!!

I don't really have any pics. In answer to your questions -

1) not really.
2) definitely NOT
3) great big YES

Piebald is a recessive trait. If it had a consistent marker, it wouldn't be recessive, it would be co-dominant. The only ways to know for sure is to

a) produce it yourself from a homozygous animal
b) 100% completely trust the breeder that did produce it
c) prove it through breeding.
d) develop a dna test that shows it.

It does look like a marker, but unless you got it as a het or poss het pied, it probably not het for pied.

Here is a female I hatched out from a het pied x normal breeding. She has some awesome markers and I would be willing to bet some cash that she is a het pied

The markers are not 100% accurate so do not buy hets simply because of markers.

To me the most important marker is the guaranty from a reputable breeder.

And yes there are hets without markers I have one of them just like have a normal female with the same markers.
