Here is Chevy's setup. I just measured him and he's 23".

My hosting is acting up right now. Give the pictures a few minutes to upload correctly.

    Re: Chevy

I bought it from a local pet store that was going out of business. It is 50 gallons and it only cost me $85 and I had to clean it out.

I think Chevy's missing a hide... how do the temps hold in that thing? You should add some more plants and what not to add a little more security for your snake.

Very nice looking cage Exo-Terra makes a great product.

If I might make a suggestion or two that might hel with your success as a Ball keeper in the fature.

    First check this out http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...ad.php?t=45693

Second you might look at adding a second hide on the cool side. Also you'll need to be able to more closely monitor the temps and humidity in the cage so get your self a accurite indoor outdoor thermo/hygrometer.

    Best of luck.

The hide is right in the middle.

The temps are always 95 and 85.

I just took the plants out of the back wall because he kept knocking them down when he'd climb on them. Apparently the suction cups don't hold his 180 grams of pure muscle.

I have a few smaller hides from my bearded dragon I could stick in there if it'd make him more comfortable.

There is a Flukers hydrometer/thermometer on each side of the tank and a few times a week I stick one in the hide to ensure the temps are proper in there as well.

I will tell you that those Flukers hydrometer/thermometer are up a little high remember you snake lives on the ground. you can just move them down to ground level and be good to go.

I'd say add the hides move the flukers deals and you'll have a healthy happy Ball Python.

I have a bunch of plants and such in my enclosure, i would say get the ones that stand on the floor, he may knock them over throughout his escapades during the evening when your sleeping but it will make him feel much more secure.

Also you should have a hide on each side of the tank. One warm one cool, they also should be identical on both sides that way the snake does not have to choose security over temperature.

    Re: Chevy

I will go grab two similar hides from the pet store tomorrow. I will be sure to look for some plants as well.
