Looks good for the most part. There are a few things I would change though. Those half-logs aren't really recommended for ball pythons. They tend to like smaller, tight-fitting hides. Also, is that an analog hydrometer in the middle? I'd suggest getting a digital one since analogs are known to be really inaccurate. You can find a cheap thermometer/hydrometer at walmart for around $12.

Cute little guy you have there

Thanks for the suggestions...we actually bought the half-log thinking he could use it as he gets older too but after reading we see we should have just stuck with a smaller one!

Yeah the two in the middle are what we bought from the petstore at first but then we went out and bought the two digitals on the ends a few days ago after we had problems with him feeding. MAJOR DIFFERENCE!

Isn't he just adorable! I'm a proud mama Is he a "normal"?

I second what Figure8 said.. otherwise it looks good.

And yes, your snake is a normal.. but nothing wrong with that.. normal BPs are gorgeous and yours is no exception!

I don't mean to step on your toes here, but my BP loves his half log. I stand it up against the side (like a tree trunk), I'll post a picture soon.

See the log on the left, standing up? He LOVES that thing, and it gives him a nice tight space to curl up in.

Out of curiosity, how does he not push it over?
