I spent 3grand with this guy and all he said was that he was sorry and things like this somtimes happen. He even gave me a story about him buying a bulk shipment of lizards and all of them but 100 dying and the guy didn't say he was sorry. So I guess sorry is cool. lol If it had been me I would have at least said I would replace the female. Not that I would've taken it. But it would have been the thought that counted. You know. Also thanks for all the replies and support here.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Most experienced keepers have had other bad transactions as well. We learn from our experiences. hope your other snakes are OK.

I do not think that anyone here is trying to throw Mr. J&J under the bus but for you to just have a attitude like it was all Alan's fault is real, how do you say, crappy. What ever mends you made with him is between the two of you but you came across in this thread defending yourself like he was to blame and you were taking none of it on your shoulders. That looks like to me and anyone else that reads this thread like some bad business practices. If you were not so interested in making a quick buck then maybe you would make sure that ALL the animals that leave your facility are in good health and the whole "we had it a week" thing is trash. You ask anyone on here and they would say that quarentining practices are normally at least a couple of weeks even when you do not know the person. You made a mistake and he made a mistake but I think until you come out and actually take the hit for some of what went on it just looks bad.

Jas - We recommend people quarantine all animals from anywhere when they get them, obviously larger dealers cannot do that as the animals sell to fast. It is the buyers responsibility to practice there own quarantine procedures.
You only had her for a week - not even long enough to feed her. I have been to your site many times and have even planned on making purchases from your company as I am pretty sure you will have animals that look desireable to me. It makes me very nervous to know that you think keeping an animal for one short week is long enough for you to feel sure that an animal is healthy. Just remember, no matter where you get your animals or how long you have had them, they still have YOUR name written all over them at the time of sale. Hobbyists are sending you their hard earned money for animals on your website... be prepared to face the consequences of selling animals that are unhealthy, all because you wanted to move them out.

    Re: New Balls

Might I ask for a simple timeline here please to clarify. My understanding so far is this shipment of snakes, including the normal female that died, was kept quarantined from your regular collection...correct? She was introduced for breeding purposes, while in QT, to two of the males that came in with her from this supplier....correct? I think a well laid out timeline of events would be of help to the membership here in understanding how this all came about.

    Angry Re: New Balls

man i cant believe what i am reading. We have been saving to pretty much clear these guys out of all the pythons and a few boas that we wanted. Now, NO WAY IN HELL! My biggest thing is the appologies, Where were they? The sincere business man who is dealing with a live animal? All nowhere to be found. It sounded almost like automated responses. So needless to say i will never buy from these guys. I already was a little weary due to knowing the had imports, and what not, but this is sick. I own a business and if somethings broke, FIX IT, no questions asked its done right then and there. HOLY CRAP, man i am so mad i ahve to stop writing now.......
