Morph Idea
So I was looking at my female BP today, and eyeing her white on her sides, and daydreaming about when she's old enough to breed...and I had an idea. What about a morph where the snake is pure white with only the black markings showing up?
I know they have aneuristics (is that the right one? Where they lack the yellow/brown pigment?) but the spots on the snake that should have been brown are kind of a grey mottled color. I'm talking one that would have pure white with just the black alien heads and stripes on the sides showing up, and no grey at all. How awesome would that be? Is anyone working on this, or am I on to something here? Would it even be possible?
Whaddya think?

Re: Morph Idea
As far as I know, Anerythristic (no red) ball pythons have never been proven. I think what you are looking for is Axanthic (no yellow) and even Axanthic the gene seems (at least to me) not a simple on/off like say albino, but more of a reduction in yellow. But I have never seen an adult Axanthic in person and I only have a hetrozygous male from TSK line.
I suppose a white (albino) ball python with black aliens would be possible but it would be one heckava paradox albino! You would probably have better luck getting a leucistic tattooed with black aliens

Re: Morph Idea
To date, there have been no morphs that have even come close to something like that. There are varying extremes of Axanthic, Anery, b/w, etc, but I doubt anything of the sorts would pop up one day.

That Axanthic killer Bee is, well since this is a family forum

Re: Morph Idea
You missed the link to the axanthic pastel, which is probably closer to the OPs description since it has regular alien heads instead of the spider pattern. Unfortunately, the pastel gene seems to eliminate the white line surrounding the alien heads, and I always thought the prettiest part of axanthics was the bright white separating the black & grey.
I want to know where the axanthic super-pastel is?? I guess in terms of color it would be like the axanthic killer bee. Just with a normal pattern.

Re: Morph Idea
It probably can be done, but you are probably getting into a quadrupal morph. A Super Pastel Axanthic would be a good starting point. Maybe working a Lesser Platinum in like the queen bee would give you the result you are looking for as the queen bee does not seem to have much grey and a lot of white.
