The interview went well. I got a tour of the clinic and got to see some of the things they use. She went over the duties I will have (vaccinations, helping the vet and techs, ect).
I'm supposed to know by the end of the week so I'm hoping to get a call withing the next three days be it good or bad.
I am very sure it is time for me to be moving on from my current job. I've been there for almost 2 years and its time to do something more exciting and challenging. I worked in Pediatrics as an Assistant for 3 months and I loved it! I was learning so many new things everyday. I was learning what vaccinations were what, how to set them up for the nurse, how to take a patients information and get temps and weights. And one day I was even shown how to draw blood. I got it on my first try! I love working in medical and I think its where I need to be. I want to be a vet tech but the community college I was hoping to take those classes with ended up not going through with the program and I was stuck taking classes I didn't want to take. As a result I failed them all and have withdrawn from my classes this semester. I'm going to try and find a school with a vet tech program and try and get into that. I'll update when I get a call from the clinic.
Any time I go for a job interview, I ALWAYS call them back. They say they will call you, but if you call them, it shows you are interested and that you really want to work there. I have never been turned down at a job that I actually called them.
