    Help Please!?!!

How do you go about getting a stuck shed off of an annoyed and angry snake without getting tagged multiple times? I have been bitten twice already and it's getting annoying.

Try soaking him first in a non-airtight plastic box (or with ventilation holes) in warm water for 1/2 or so - put it in the snake's tub/tank to keep him warm. Then try with a warm, wet wash cloth. There is a shed assist tutorial under BP husbandry that goes through this.

What kind of snake is it? Might not be worth it unless it is shed you really should get off like eye caps, heat pits, nostrils....

    Good luck.

PS Should this be moved to another place on the site?

Soak it in a tupperware container with holes in the lid. Depth of water approximately 1/2 the thickness of your snake as snakes don't drown easy, but they don't feel confy in water that is too deep. Also a humidity box (small hide with a top and bottom) put a damp paper towel in the bottom and this should also now and if used during future sheds. For small ball pythons an index card box with a hole drilled in it of approximately 1" to 1 1/2" of diameter for an entrance and exit works good. Larger snakes can use various size tupperware containers that are big enough to get in, but small enough that they fill about half of it.

Just pick it up dude. Its a young tic. You are gonna have to handle it sooner or later, easier on you and the snake to work with it when its small. Pick him up, set him in a 12 qt tub with vent holes. set in a warm area, check back in an hour or so and the whole shed should be off. If not, give it another hour. I always set 1/2 the tub on heat tape set at 90 degrees. 1/2" of water and you are set. Let us know
